JERRY HAWKINS

Hello, I’m jerry Hawkins, and as early as 2004 I began contemplating the possibility of creating an exciting fantasy adventure board game in the vain of popular fantasy adventure stories like The Lord of the Rings trilogy, and the Harry Potter series, that would possess intriguing, unique and original game mechanics that would truly set it apart, to become the next big board game sensation.

In an effort to materialize this dream, I worked on game mechanics, board and card design in my spare time while working as an electronics technician in the construction industry.

But, there would be long periods when this project was put on hold; when I just didn’t have time to devote to it, but I never forgot about it.

I began again at the end of 2016, with a resolve to bring this game to completion; and by the end of 2017 I had the game mechanics thoroughly tested, and had most of the graphic design and artwork complete.

I decided I needed help with some of the more detailed artwork on the game board, so I asked one of my brothers-in-law about the artistic ability of his daughter Sofia, who I had heard was very artistic, and he proudly showed me a collection of her artwork.

I was so impressed that I immediately offered to pay her to complete the final details on the game board, which she graciously accepted to do.

Sofia Hernandez and I continued working together until Amuletum was completed and ready to market.

SOFÍA HERNANDEZ

Hello, I am Sofia Hernandez, I have a degree in nutrition and I am passionate about the arts and graphic design.

In 2018, when Jerry asked me to help him finish the artwork on his game board, I was still in college studying for a nutrition degree, and following that, I continued with my internship with practical training in the field. Having already studied, photography, illustration, and video editing, I resumed these studies to improve and be better equipped with these necessary skills for the Amuletum project.

Jerry and I decided that the game should be created in one art style; We chose my art style, so it became my job to completely redo all of the game’s artwork and graphics to avoid any potential visual incompatibility in design that could be created by incorporating our two very different art styles.

This new task would take several months, but everything has finally been completed.
